    Computer partitions

    Hi,
I was wondering. If I create a partition of my hard drive and store some files in there and then i use my reinstallation cd to format my computer, will the files in the partition be affected?

No it's completely safe... just take care to format only your Windows drive. All the files in the other partition is safe.

True. The OS is only on 1 partition. After you go through the agreement and choose install, it will give you the choice of which partition you would like to set up Windows on.
Easiest way to make sure it goes smooth, is to rename the new drive after you create it. Either that or make it a size that you will recognize.
