    Which files to delete

Well my AV popped up this message few days back saying a threat. So I said to fix it, anyways.
Today I look in C:\ and find the file that the AV was fixing. It was a .bat that runs a program in the \System\ folder.

To be exact, the .bat was:

    Code:
    "C:\WINDOWS\system\xccef090131.exe" i
    del %0
Now I have a crapload of files in my C:\ and dunno what is safe D:

heres a screenie of my C:\

    lol help?

Edit: Did I mention there's like 15 files in my \System\?
On my other comp theres a whole bunch D:

did you recently install .net framework or visual studio? when i installed .net framework it installed the latest visual studio and then all those install.res files popped up. i think they are just temporary files for the installer and are safe to delete. just wait for another member to comment as i'm not 100% sure. also what AV do you use?

only delete the install.res files and install.exe and install.ini and vc_red.msi. you should know what files to delete.

Those files at your C: drive looks safe. However, this one C:\WINDOWS\system\xccef090131.exe is definitely a threat.

yeah it sounds a bit like conflicker virus as it generates a file in your WINDOWS folder of a completely random name. but it could also be something different. as the sub 7 server.exe program creates a random file in the WINDOWS folder.
