My college is going to host a symposium function in following month.

My friends designed an invitation for it to be provide to other colleges(i was not involved in its designing). They had done it in photoshop.

The design doesnt came up as expected, so they were asked to redesign it...
Is there any alternative software with which the design can be done more better...
Please suggest if any...
