    Video Card??

My son tells me that his monitor goes black after using his computer for about 30 mins or so.Is there a way I can run a test on his video card?I'm thinking that what's going on.I guess when I sees him today i'll make sure all his fans are working properly.

Have you checked the Power Options?
Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
Maybe it is set to turn off the monitor after 30 minutes.

He tells me that it freezes for about 15 seconds before this happens. The worst thing about it is he had a technician rebuild this tower with new parts about 2 years ago.

It has a lot of useful information about the card. At least give you a way to watch it.
