My laptop has a 7-pins S-Video Out, which I want to connect with the CRT TV. The cable I use is a 4-pins S-Video Out. Does anyone know whether this leads to a loss of screen quality?
Secondly, do I have to adjust the TV screen resolution, and if so, how is that to be done?

did you already tried it? connecting wrong pins will not functions correctly unless you use some adapter to convert the pins?
