    hinge cracks: Gateway M520 laptop

boy this is a challenge and so I call on you, with thanks.
I called gateway and they said around $400. YIKES

Never came across how to *simply* repair this.
    I am very handy.

An epoxy?? a glue without getting into hinges??

Also any techniques is deeply appreciated

This is for a charity I work for on occasion, so cost yet effectiveness is best.

Tape would start peeling the minute you shut the laptop. Epxoy or glue MIGHT work but I'm not sure. I'd try some liquid silicone if you've got any.
