My CD/DVD RW combo drive cannot write...?

Okay i have a cd/dvd rw combo drive n it can read discs nicely. fine. but when i set to burn it says either the drive is empty or the disc is corrupted. pls help

P.S.

I have XP SP3, Nero 7 Ultra. tried with nero but same result. tried with different discs in vain. at last i removed nero outta frustration :@

Try using another burning software such as CDBurnerXP.

If your drive still couldn't write, most probably you have a faulty drive.

Well if you give more detail regarding your cd/dvd rw combo probably they can help you better.

Use neroinfo tool to find the capability of your cd/dvd drive

The media used has ALOT to do with it. i have burned 30 coasters out of a package of 50 disks. i swear. ClubCDFreaks is all about burning disks. they reccomend Verbatim life i think

i got ya beat tho a friend burned RECVERY disks for his pc. All supposedly burned perfectly. All but the 3rd one so he had to have vista reinstalled at 175 bucks

@ha i just used radar sync it seems to work well. Although after scanning again with Driver Detective and Driver genius they both said i had 20 out of date drivers. so i really am not sure.
But the packing feature is nice i just cannot tell if the program worked or not
