Detect If A PC Can Run Windows XP Mode In Windows 7

You have heard about XP mode in Windows 7 right?
Did you know a lot of machines will NOT be able to play it? - M$ has released a tool that checks if a CPU supports AMD-V, Intel VT or VIA VT and if hardware virtualization is turned on in the BIOS:

I've downloaded that and here's what I get:

It seems like I can run XP Mode...

On the other hand, there's also this other tool:

SecurAble is a standalone application that probes the system's processor to determine the presence, absence and operational status of three modern processor features:

    1. 64-bit instruction extensions
    2. Hardware support for detecting and preventing the execution of code in program data areas
    3. Hardware support for system resource virtualization

We are interested with the 3rd result. As you can see, the CPU tested in this screenshot supports hardware virtualization and hence can run XP Mode.

When I ran SecurAble, I got this instead:

    Now what???

I thought so too...but I'm not going to touch Virtual PC..that probably means I've one choice left...use VMLite and uninstall VirtualBox
