I heard that using MSI LiveUpdate is a very bad way to update the Bios. MSI LiveUpdate sometimes can make your MBoard unusable.
Vista 64 bit OS.
I would like to see the step by step how to do Bios Update? No floppy disk.

The old way of doing it is to flash your bios from DOS.
However it is considered to be more dangerous than using MSI LiveUpdate because you must make sure you've downloaded the correct version of the bios.
Here is a guide by MSI on BIOS flashing procedure.

I feel that its always better to flash using bootable CD . Windows are prone to errors.. what if windows crashes .... gone u need to replace u'r Mobo.To minimize this risk I feel that its good to flash from DOS .
And as raymond said, need to download the correct BIOS version.
The risks are not as huge as earlier-on, since modern mobos (of good brands) are fool-resistent (or so they claim).
If your using modren Mobo's there is no need to Flash BIOS..unless there is very very important update.
I don't think they are fool resistent... its just they claim.Recenlty I have seen Mobo's with 2 BIOS , if one fails other acts as powers up.
