9 beeps no boot

ive got a old p3. resently i removed the pc cover to temp replace the cd drive which doesnt work with the combo drive (done it a lot of times with no problem) and nw the p3 is not booting. it just gives abut 9 beeps by googling ive found its a problem in the memory and dust things. before i do anything stupid (remove the hole thing and clean part by part) i wanted ur opionos is it dust or something else ??

Clearly a hardware failure/mismatch, just unplug and replug the drive carefully and see whether it makers any difference. Did you perhaps temporarily remove any card, or plugged the VGA cable in the old adapater?

i only removed the ide cables of the cd rom, i think its the dust in the computer need to clean it carefully and thanks for the info guys

ok it is better to clean it also clean your smps but carefully remove the cables from motherboard
