Perhaps your system overheats much during the process, and so it automatically shuts down to prevent hardware damage.

    EDIT:
Try monitoring system temperatures with SpeedFan, and see if they rise significantly over time, during conversion process.

    Thanks for your reply.

    You were right.

    The CPU usage also increases.

Is a hardware upgradation needed to resolve this??

    Thanks again

If you are using notebook you can try out a notebook cooling pad, and see if it helps.

If it is a desktop PC, then there are more simple options, as you can access computer internals more easily.

You could apply a quality thermal paste to CPU - Arctic Silver is a good brand, and get a better CPU fan. There also PCI slots fans and coolers.

Also check Wikipedia article on Computer cooling.

    Thanks for all your help.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am already using a cooler but still the temp of processor

reaches to 100 C as per speedfan during the process.

Is there anything else I can add to the stystem??

    Thanks again

Your processor cooler is probably not working, open the case and verify. Or check through BIOS the RPM for the cooler and see if it is working. My advice is to stop using your computer emediately and solve this issue, your processor will fry!

100 C? What is your room temp?
Open the case and clean the dust.

wow 100C for a laptop with a cooler is just weird..
Here is a tip if u want to do powerful processes like converting videos. First of all restart ur laptop.Close ALL applications(even your security programs),Disable ur unecesarry drivers and services then turn your screen brightness to lowest so it hungers for less power
    Now try and convert.
You can also try this method instead of a laptop cooler...
Get a really thick book.(mine i got is the whole series of deltora quest)put it under the laptop leaving the air hole open and have an air conditioned room or having a fan blowing against the laptop.
