    Confused computer shutoff when playing games

    I am having hp pavilion t230i desktop. Present days I having a problem that if I start to play any game my computer got off within 10 min. I tried the fanspeed 4.0 utility to see the cpu temperature. It was above 70 C when playing games. My cpu fan is running and heat sink is in cleaned condition. Friends please help to solve the problem

    Push Control-Shift-Escape keys all at once, and sort by CPU/Memory.

    Please note what they are.

    As well, unplug the case, open it, and check to see if your CPU fan is tightly on... just because it's running doesn't mean it's going to cool it.

    Thanks I checked the CPU fan it is ok. Still having problem.

    Push Control-Shift-Escape keys all at once, and sort by CPU/Memory.

    70 celsius is a little high, even for games. Have you tried reseating your heatsink one more time with enough thermal compound?

    70 celsius is a little high, even for games.
    Not a little its much higher than normal

    If everything else checks out, are the games compatiable with your operating system and the minimum system requirements to play them? (Just a thought)
