Does this happens always, even if u restart?

Do u have an external monitor/screen to connect the netbook & see if anything is displayed?

Is it possible to restart in to safe mode?

I'd connect an external monitor to it, see if it's dead or not. And moved to the hardware section.

AP, I've heard of laptop monitors that died a day after the person bought them.

If you could find some way to test the actual computer itself... then I could suggest some more options.

I think that answers the question above...

Anyway, what happens when you restart it?
    Something to remember...

if theres a beep count the beep then analyze it to the manufaturer of you netbook let say hp goto the hp site then read about the beep that you heard, if no beep sound when you restart it i think that will be serious problem might be the board itself.

its a netbook not a laptop ,netbooks generally don't have a vga socket ,check its still under warranty if so send it back ,other than that lose vga cable ether on the mobo or at the back of the screen ,could also be bad inverter or dead screen
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.
