*nix Technical Support
SATA 1 and SATA 2, as far as I remember from hardware class, are not compatible unless you update your SATA drivers.
Does your motherboard maker's site have any support on upgrading to support SATA2 on your mobo?

You have to download the latest sata drivers from the vendors site and then integrate them with nLite in to the boot cd. I guess it will work.
Screw Google! Ask me!

If you put the manufacturer, brand name, and model name of the mother board, we'd be able to assist you better. The more detailed you are, the more people will be able to help.

Googled your motherboard and up it came. http://www.epox.com/product.asp?id=EP-8KRAI
To the right of the home page you will see 4 circles lettered b,d,? and m. Click on each of these to bring up what you want , bios, drivers, faq and manual. There is also on the list an e-mail address where you can contact them for more information if required.

With respect I have tried the link I sent you and it works just fine. It appears that you have to be registered in order to download. I have just tried it again and was asked to log in.
