Mouse Keep Right Clicking on a Laptop
Hi, i have a problem with USB problem running on HP Compaq windows Xp sp2
few days ago i used my laptop to access to the internet at my uni, and after i came home i connect my USB mouse(Logitech) back to the laptop then the mouse just right click on it self where ever i point to, and then the window does not response after a few seconds like 2-5sec.
I have tried
1. reformatting the laptop
2. disable the touchpad(PS2)
3. uninstall the touchpad driver
4. uninstall the mouse driver (HID - compliant mouse)
5. update the mouse driver from device manager but cannot update
and still the same it just keep right clicking and freeze the window and to unfreeze it i have to right click on the taskbar or desktop to get window back to response.
Before i uninstalled the touchpad driver this happens randomly mostly when i go on the internet
After i uninstalled the touch driver it just keep right clicking when it is connected to the laptop
The only way i fixed it was to change the mouse
wanna know if there is any other way to fix it because i want to keep my logitech mouse.

I had a little same kind of issue. Every time i click my Left-mouse button reaction was double click! Sometimes it does those clicks itself. I try everything (except format) but nothing resolve that problem. Google give's a lot of results but can't found a working solution. Some users say it's an hardware or driver issue and some users say that mouse is end of the road. Anyway later i buy a new mouse and everything works perfectly!

will be a sticky button ,you could try putting a knife or screwdriver under it to prise it up a little ,it could also be full of gunk
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.

Try a different mouse and see if the problem still exists.

The spring on your mouse might have worn out if replacing it works. I'd suggest throwing it out and using a new one, sorry.

The problem lies in the mouse...and you have fixed it by using a new one
Or if you still have a warranty, then go ask for a fix..
P.S. I had a different problem but it was still annoying...and I had to buy a new one. Trust me when I say it - my 1st mouse didn't even last me a month...
They call me the mysterious one...
