    Keyboard and Mouse doesnt respond

    heres the thing

    i start the computer sometimes it all goes nice then after some times a wierd noise comes from the pc and the keyboard and the mouse gets stuck...
    sometimes it happens at the start itself.. keyboard stuck and i cant select which os to boot
    there isnt a problem in keyboard or the mouse as i tried it on the other computer and its working right..
    any ideas about whats wrong

    Faulty keyboard controller perhaps! wich is down to the mobo
    Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.

    I was thinking dirty contacts myself, which I suggested to him... not sure if that's the final problem or not though

    first take some compressed air and clean out you case and all the connections on the back of the pc. double check to make sure not prongs are broke.
    O and what type of keyboard and mouse ar ethey usb or ps2?

    i think there is something wrong with the motherboard....
    the beeps are sounding like there failing

    Hmm do you have another keyboard to try? as the first post stated good chance you mobo is bad. what kinda beeps do you get durning post? and what brand of bios do you have?

    it was a motherboard problem... and the keyboards work fine...
    the sound was like a failing beep
    hope i can find a cheep replasment or sell the parts of it

    what socket processor and what kinda ram do you have ill find you a cheap one

    who says im gonna pay for it :P ive already got a another pc and there are lot of unused pcs in my uncles work place
