BIOS not detect Hard disk, linux live cd can detect
My BIOS suddenly can not detect my hard disk i have been using for years, i am sure the hard disk is fine because any linux live cd like fedora/ubuntu/gparted etc can detect it and shows all the partitions and data it contains.

Hi jawadahmed
I know that your HDD is ok
Check your power cable and remove the SATA cable and re-enter it to another port , it probably for loose connection
Try to reset your BIOS by removing battery

I already have checked and changed the cables and also reset the bios by removing battery for half hour. I have another hard disk on 2nd computer, that hard disk is also not detected here, although working fine there.

jawadahmed if you check your bios you should be able to see your hard disk also make sure your disk is assigned a letter or number otherwise it will not be detected on boot up... i say this as it happened to me a few weeks back something basic but easy to over look, not that this is the anwser it just gives you another option to try
