    partitioning hard disk problem

    gud day to all... i changed my windows xp into windows 7 and try ubuntu then back to xp. then my hard disk now have a lot of unallocated space 8mb. and also, the two partition wont become one after i delete in partition mode in reformatting my computer i have three partition this time. is there a way to have this back in normal without touching the other partition where my files are.

    In Windows XP, I personally use Easeus Free Partition Manager http://www.partition-tool.com/ to delete un-needed parttions and to resize the partition you wish to keep, to include the newly created unallocated space. There are a number of partitioning softwares out there, but I have found Easeus very user friendly myself.
    There may be a bit of snow on the roof, but there is still a fire blazing in the hearth!

    I would agree with John on this on (and others ) as Easus is really user friendly and works just as well in windows 7 as it does in xp.. i have made lots of changes using Easus and im really happy with the software..
