Thank you Prakash, something to look at when i decide what to go for, price is a factor, but i wasn't thinking outside Intel, maybe the i5, but im now going to weigh up both, so i apprecitate your post as i can now look at the prices here, or borrow the money off of INDRANIL..

Tom AMD products are vfm , so take a decision wisely, and please do r&d before purchase.

AMD is putting out some hot products at good prices.

Those black editions (x4 970, x2 560) look to have real potential, especially since the x2 has 2 locked cores.

All of this at reasonable retail prices.

Sorry, but no, the AMD procesors I used previously were in early 2000 vintage Gateway computers. I only meant to say that they served me well.
