Ready to ditch paper? Here are the 10 best e-readers

According to Amazon, ebook sales have already surpassed hardback book sales and will surpass paperbacks sometime in 2011, and then both hardback and paperback combined sometime shortly thereafter. Curious list, an Apple iPhone is NOT an e-reader. Even the iPad makes a doubtful e-reader: too heavy, and you cannot read out in the sun, as you can with, say, the Hanwon (not on the list, but a good e-reader with a nice price-tag).

I don't think the iphone belongs anywhere by in a phone category.
Unfortunately, though, there are Apple missionaries, and Apple evangelists who try to make everything fit the Apple mold, whether it fits or not.
The Ipad is also a lousy e-reader.

Kobo is at Chapters in Canada... I'm debating about that or the Kindle, but I haven't decided which yet.... whichever one has more modding available I think would be my choice.

Thank you Ande for the list. If cheaper and useful features I'll go for otherwise not .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.
