Thanks for the walk down memory lane Ande!
There may be a bit of snow on the roof, but there is still a fire blazing in the hearth!

I still have an EPROM module.
It should be good for a Museum I think.

My dad still has our Commodore 64, and if he ever thinks of throwing it out, I'm taking it along with all the disks that came with it. Fond memories I have of that computer...

Remember when DDR2 ram was so cheap? 4GB DDR2 was for like $35 (2008). Now it's around $70.

Hey, my first hard drive was 8 meg and it cost $2999.95
My next was a 35 MB drive for around $1000.00
My first memory buy was for 48 K of ram - $150.00.
When I see people complaining about the prices today, I just have to laugh.
The computer I have on my desk is faster, has more memory, and has more storage than the IBM 360/65 that cost new around $8 million.
We bought 4 MB of memory for an IBM 370/168 for $5 million, installed.
I ran a whole OS, telecommunications, database I/O and over 1000 applications in about 1 MB. No graphics, though.

When I was young, I didn't have a hard drive until Windows 3.11... in 1997-1998 if I remember right!
