slow compute only 6months old

I've had my computer only 6months and its slower than molasses..I run my CCleaner, keep my start-up programs to a minimum, as far as I know its not a space problem..I've cleared cookies and cache..I'm at a standstill..Boot time takes around 4 or 5 mins, Firefox takes at least 2min to come up..Oh and my computer is a toshiba Satellite..has a 250gb hd and 3g Ram, so I know I'm not out of space..anybody have any ideas what could be the problem..Its really annoying cause this thing used to be lightning fast..Thanks in advance..WH

Have you scanned for viruses. You may have some nasties on your computer like rootkits and trojans etc. You may want to download Hitman Pro and scan your system, after you do a scan with Malwarebytes and Superantispyware. Just a suggestion. Mine did the same thing one time, and I was infected.

I have tried the copy and paste and it's over what Raymond has for numbers of characters so it wont do it..any other ideas?? and I have ran Kaspersky critical area Virus Scan and it turned up nothing..I'm running a full scan now..Its weird cause it used to come up slow a time or two, then stay somewhat fast..then it gradually got slower and slower.to the point it is now..someitmes the keyboard seems non-responsive for a millisecond...because of sickness and my Dad passing I kinda let my baby go..I'm going to try the hitman pro scan jj1two3 mentioned also..

..I hit analyze this, it saves it to a folder right?? Then I attach that folder to this reply..right/? I tried to put the folder as an attachment but it says invalid file..any thoughts or advise?? Thanks again for your helpp..
