I think some power problem. Not sure just check your power input.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

I second INDRANIL. You should check the power supply. Something might be wrong with the BIOS too. Remove the CMOS battery , wait a couple of minutes and put it back again. Report back here.
Screw Google! Ask me!

Can you direct me to a link or somewhere, i can do this , like a tut or something...
i want to try this, i guess its a chip prob as well.....
BTW:
one guy asked me $80 at a local it store to fix it,
he says heknws the problem, and says its common in acer laptops...
but when i asked him if it was the chip or the power he wnt tell me wats wrong,

The same prob occured to me except my bios screen came but no display after win xp loading screen comes, second mine was an acer desktop. To fix it I tried re-installing but to no avail. Even tested ram and removed cmos but to no avail. Angry i tapped the graphic card(the golden part) with a pen ,rebooted and voila it worked like a charm. If no bois is coming I suppose its a faulty ram. does laptop give any beeps while booting. Try replacing the ram. My computer always crashed with a BSOD and I figured it was a faulty ram. Dont trust the local computer engineers the may looting you. Infact they may even further damage your computer.
