    Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 Black

    CDN-CMR-RC1000KKKN2GP_G4.jpg

This is the new case that arrived today for my new build (1st) this is a web picture and does not do the case justice as this case is big...
there are a couple of changes to the earlier release of the CM 1000 and very welcomed, will not be buying new parts untill after Christmas.. but there is no hurry most of it is sourced at this stage and will prove to be a bit expensive, but there is the knowing of building my own im most interested in...

Like all cases there are pro's and cons after weighing this up i chose this case, the main been that it's easy to work with and very well put together..

This comes with five 5.25" drive bays to the front with one that can be converted to 3.5 "
There are 6 internal 6 internal 3.5" drive bays
This case can have mATX EATX ATX motherboards installed
    Has seven expansion slots ventilated..
Dimensions W266 mm x H589mm x D628 mm as you can tell it's huge and will need to be well lit up with it been black some of the inside is hard to see,
Really impressed with the standard of workmanship gone into this case, the HAF is a well ventilated case but i don't want the gamer look...

The case looks good Jay! I see NewEgg has it priced at $200 US. Is this comparable to what you paid, or should I look elsewhere?

    Thanks, John

Hi John glad you like it, i paid 300 euro in total including shipping from Piximania, the price is high and you could get the Cosmo S cheaper again or the Silver and black 1000 cheaper, 200 dollars is worth it i think, i think it's fantastic and will not look out of place where ever i decide to put it... just one thing John they are big cases
Thank you BoyFriend and for your help when i asked for your thoughts on the Cosmos cases..

Hi again Jay. I just did a dollar to euro conversion and the price at NewEgg is very reasonable at about 146 euro. Will still check out TigerDirect and a few others to get the best possible price. Thanks much for your imput and looking forward to the time when we finally get things put together!

@JayCub: You are welcome. Do not worry about huge size (W266 mm x H589 mm x D628 mm). You can use EATX (extended ATX) mobo with numerous peripheral without need to worry about space or ventilation. Moreover, you will have an option to go to water/liquid cooling in future (extreme over-clocker?).

I'm not sure Jay, but I don't think companies like NewEgg or TigerDirect can ship overseas. Otherwise, you could save some money yourself. I've had full towers before and I love them! They make expansion a breeze. I will be seeing the BigGuy at Thanksgiving on Thursday and I will bring him up to date. Take care my friend!

Thankfully John or Sharon would kill me if she thought i could have got it much cheaper i will be interested to hear from the BigGuy as to what he thinks... BoyFriend really helped me out when i asked him about the cases, The Cosmos 1000 pure is not available on most sites, but there was no problem at all with the Cosmos Sport and it was Cheaper by 60 euro, They made a limited black edition which looks fantastic but only sold 500, then they released the one i bought all black, i saw youtube video's where people went to great pains to have the case painted all black and some crazy mods, and a few i liked...
