PSU Corsair or Cooler master ?

    Corsair or Cooler master
Looking at various psu of late Corsair are really up there with their power supply units and close is Cooler master although there has been a mention of a ripple effect in the 12v rail i think,
Corsair seems like it will give a much cleaner power supply and i think Cooler master are a great company and was wondering on a few shared oppinions on which people would choose,
One more advantage i came across with some Corsair psu's is the fully modular version, which seems really appealing..

    Cheers

I will suggest Corsair PSU. Their solutions exhibit very high efficiency even under stress conditions and highest power correction factor. Moreover, their high-end solutions are totally modular and very reliable.

Thanks BoyFriend pretty much what is said on most forums regarding Corsair, but i wanted to hear about it here, i think i will go for the high end Corsair as under stress it still performs really well in all benchmarks with a very clean power supply and from what i can make out little noise... Cooler master are noiser and but make some really good psu's and inovative ideas for keeping the unit cool but i think they are a bit behind Corsair and have a bit of catching upto do..appriciate your imput as always,

You welcome JayCub On my own computer, I am using Cooler Master PSU. It is working flawlessly and has Active PFC. It has saved my system unit twice. Once due to short circuit (unknown reason) within external power supply cable of system unit and second time when my digital UPS suddenly malfunctioned and caused short circuit. Still I will prefer Corsair due to high quality and PSE.

Hi Jay. I am also leaning toward the purchase of a Corsair PSU. From what I've read, it seems like a very option. What size (watts) were you thinking about? I want at least 700 watts myself.

Thank you Prakash for your valuble imput Cheers my friend,
Hi John i was thinking of going all out and buying the 1200 Watt pro gold as it has outstanding benchmark results, although it's size is huge i have a feeling i can push this new pc further than any i have had in the past... mind you 1200 is overkill but it is solid and i think it's between 5-7 years warranty and easily deserves its gold status..

Well Jay, I'm afraid my spending money on a new computer will have to be put on hold. I was forced to take the ditch today, when another driver pulled out in front of me and my car came out the worst for wear. Its an older model Chevy Malibu, so I didn't have collision insurance on it, so I will need to find a replacement. I would try to collect something from the other driver, but he drove off before I could even talk to him. Thankfully no one was hurt.

For me im happy that you are ok and sorry to hear the other driver didn't even have the decency to stop and make sure you where ok... the good thing about builds is there is no time frame and i find myself in a lucky position as i have a bus and rail pass which saves on insurance and petrol costs, although i don't like public transport i don't have the headaches of owning a car anymore and im in a decent position where i can get regular services...
my partner paid for the CM V10 and it arrived today and this thing is huge, maybe i will attatch wheels and use it as a mode of transport .

The best thing of all is although you had an unfortunate accident you are well and no-one got hurt, so for me it's great news.. a bit of human decency wouldn't have gone amiss from the other driver, something else i don't miss about driving as i had a few near misses and some people where genuine and sorry some where nasty but i would give those kind little consideration but they where the type that drove away.

Thank you very much Sharon, eh? Good thing you got the "garage" to park it in. Maybe that full tower case won't be to big after all!
