Kingston V Series SSD
Having a look at the SSD cards of late Kingston are now offering a value series of 128 GB for around 200 euro depending on where you look of course, and i have seen quite a few drops in prices of late, and on Tiny Tom Logans on over clock 3D uk he has put a few new rigs together using SSD's, here's hoping that there will be even more competition for 2011 and more price drops.
Dabs is one such place where you can have an idea of size and roughly the purchase price although this is the Irish one you can see the drops already and there are plenty of sites to give you bench marks like johnny Guru

Price drops are always a good thing!
Maybe waiting to buy, will turn out to be a good thing!
There may be a bit of snow on the roof, but there is still a fire blazing in the hearth!

Great for the OS John and can only get better read and write is not much better on small data blocks, but leaves the mechanical drives standing on larger data, and no need for defrag, there have been many steps foreward regarding compatibility and some are prone to problems like degradation so i will still check good sites for reviews, im sure the impact will be fantastic as it's less heat from non moving parts along with the now famous fast read write, less voltage and a cooler system.

Oh for sure! I like what I've read so far about SSDs, but they needed to come down in price for me to be intersted in buying one. The new PC would be a good place to start.

Thank you for the link A Guy much appreciated, i read an intel benchmark which turned out to be great and compatibility was reliable but there was a chance of degradation, so i will be sure to do some home work first and keep your link thank you.

I'm holding off on SSDs myself. I'm investing about $200 to get my server finally back up and running. Here's to hoping.

Whats up with your server? Sorry to hear it will cost that much to repair.

Needs a new motherboard, two more hard drives (1 TB) and more RAM.
And when you consider all that, for only $200 is extremely cheap.
