    usb-based lan tester

    Is it possible to build a lan tester that connected to the usb port of a computer?? if yes how can do that?? i want to make a lan tester software though my computer...



    for example: I built a straight-through cable and connect it to the usb-based lan tester and my computer will tell me that their is a mispair on wire 1 and wire 2...something like that??? pls.. help me... its urgent....thanks for the help guyz...

    If you want to check the network cable, then a network cable tester would do.

    I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

    I know it is hard... but what if I use a MCU so that it would control the lan tester at the same time it would send data to my software?? it would be possible??

    Have no idea MCU is used basically for bridging videoconferencing connections.
