    Wink Blank screen after restart

    Hello,
Actually I have problem with my laptop Acer Aspire 2930. The laptop is working as normal. But when I restart the laptop, the screen become blank and it not restart. What I can do is manually push the power button to turn off and switch on back. The laptop can boot up as normal. The major problem when I restart it.

Anyone know the solution? It is hardware or OS prob?

Boot your laptop into Safe Mode.
If you don't know how to boot in Safe Mode, power up your laptop and start tapping F8 key every second until you see the Advanced Boot Menu.
Select Safe Mode and hit enter.
Once you get in Windows Safe Mode, try restarting and see if the problem persist.

    Hi,

Did you manage to solve this particular issue. I am experiencing the exactly the same problem. If I disable the graphics drivers the problem goes away, so it must be something to do with the graphics driver. I have tried the all previous drivers and also the latest ones but problem persits. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise on a Samsung R730 laptop, with a integrated Intel HD Graphics display adapter. Any suggestions/advice would beof great assistance.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Welcome Chris to Raymond.cc,
Please try uninstall drivers using DriverSweeper and then install latest drivers after rebooting your Laptop .

See if you can create a UBCD4Win.
    http://www.ubcd4win.com/

Boot up your computer with UBCD4Win and then restart. If your computer is able to restart without the black screen, then what you can do is try "reinstalling/repair" Windows, and if it still doesn't work, format and install Windows.

Knowing what the OS is is always helpful, as different options apply. When it is black, do you have a blinking cursor line? Or just black? When you have the black screen, can you Ctrl+Alt+delete? Does this occur only on restart, or from the off mode? Do you use hibernate or sleep, does it occur then? If you delete the video driver, and then reboot, windows will discover and install the default driver. Is the problem gone? A Guy
