Liquid Cooling
Hi Guys anyone here running a liquid cooled pc, i see that on some reviewers forums they are trying to introduce more people to water cooling as setups are more simplified, such as this review here OCD 3 TV one of my haunts on the net when looking at new hardware.
My CPU temp at 4.0 Ghz from 3.2 is 31 degrees an increase of 3 degrees on air and i wondering if anyone has experience with water cooled systems i have plenty of room and no intention of going LN2

I have no experience with liquid cooling Jay, but am also interested to see if someone does. It might be an option worth looking into for my new build.

I don't have experience in liquid cooling, nor do most of my friends, however, I've done a lot of reading into it. From what I get from it and the reading that I've done, it's only really worth it if your computers constantly hold at over 50 degrees at idle.
It runs a lot of extra risks and adds a major point of failure to include to your systems, the only major reason I wouldn't recommend it. Apparently, there are foolproof solutions... but if you're not using all the cycles anyway, why worry?
It's like the old debate: leave your PCs on, or turn them on and off as needed? Whatever you choose, both come with upsides and downsides.

I personally haven't watercooled, but many at Seven Forums do. There are basically 2 methods, the easiest being a closed loop system such as the [url=http://www.corsair.com/cooling/hydro-series/hydro-series-h50-cpu-cooler.html]Corsair H50 or [url=http://www.corsair.com/hydro-series-h70-cpu-cooler.html]H70. These will be a step up over cooling on air. Then there are any levels of actual fluid cooling including just the CPU, to the GPUs, and even the Northbridge. It's really a subject you have to study up on (like correctly overclocking). Here is a basic [url=http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a-beginners-guide-for-watercooling-your-pc,1573-2.html]Begginners Guide that touches on some of the many factors. A Guy

Thanks guys, the closed loop systems didn't get the best responses although Corsair are constantly improving but not good enough which is a pity as the air coolers are massive now and makes installing some hardware more awkward especially cpu area, wiring and ram depending on the make.
i get easily distracted and after seeing some of the later releases i was thinking of going that way, best to walk before you run, i will be overclocking but not breaking any records.

I am going to keep my eyes on the eastern horizon and if I see a cloud of smoke rising from out Ireland way, I will know that Jay went just a bit to far overclocking his new PC!

but on a searious note anyone can build a pc these days and i would say go ahead have the one you want and enjoy yourself.
I can make any "simple" project much harder than it needs to be.
