    Search Duvida: Hardware X Cloud?

    Olá .-.
    Minha pergunta é a seguinte:

I'm sure desktop computer and high performance PC will still continue to produce.
The main requirement of cloud computer is of course the Internet and it has to be a stable and fast one.
Not all countries able to provide fast and cheap internet yet...

I live out in the country, where stable and fast internet service isn't offered, so for people like myself, I don't see cloud computing taking over from a conventional PC.

Ten years is enough time to consider the change although i still have my doubts but time will tell, i like the idea of having my OS on the pc despite the pitfalls of using windows.

Abraços ---------- Post added at 12:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:19 AM ----------

I can't ever see the Cloud replacing my computer. I do too much with it, enjoy modifying too much. I couldn't LIVE with a tablet, especially if it was Apple or something else.

So I have to have my Linux, and my desktop, and my server...

No, I don't think that cloud will ever completely replacing the desktop. If anything, a cyberbrain, or something to the like, something like Ghost in the Shell. We'll become part of the machinery, but we'll never fully replace it either.
