Asus P8H61-M Pro cannot enter bios page
When I bootup with no os installed machine, a Asus logo appear, then I can press "DEL" enter the bios setup page.
After install the Windows 7, each time machine bootup, the Asus logo don't appear, instead show a few sentence,

S.M.A.R.T. Supported

In this screen I press "DEL" it not enter bios setup page and continue to run the windows. But I am running the computer and windows perfectly. Also my ps/2 keyboard works fine when bootup (num lock light is on).
Do anyone encounter the same problem? I am looking for help Thanks

I have the Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard and like your's, it doesn't always load Bios when I press the DEL key, but I do get the Asus logo on boot. What I have found to work for me, is tapping the DEL key when the Asus logo appears, instead of holding it down. Maybe you have already tried that, but I thought I would mention it just in case you hadn't. If you can get Bios to load, then there is a setting for turning the Asus logo on or off during boot up.

Hi,
The problem is after install the windows 7, the asus logo has gone. I dont know using Windows Loader can cause the bios problem or not

I believe Windows Loader might be the cause of the problem.
Although I have never used it but I read before that it had something to do with BIOS.
Someone with more experience might be able to explain better.

If you're talking about an activation loader like the Daz loader, it emulates parts of the BIOS to get past activation and makes changes to the bootcode. Whether it could possibly cause issues with your actual BIOS, I guess that's possible.
Make sure you have the latest loader (2.0.9 in Daz's case) and read instructions carefully. Did you notice the same problem before the boot loader was installed??
If problems still persist, you could always reset the BIOS or look for an update from the Asus site.

It is certainly possible that Windows Boot Loader could have changed some of the settings in Bios, but my point was that if you can load the Bios menu, you might be able to reconfigure the settings maually. Otherwise, contacting Asus Technical Support might be a good option.

But if reset the bios, what data had lost other than custom bios setting..?

From my personal experience, I have never encountered a problem with restoring the Bios to the default settings causing any problem with the OS. That being said, I can't guarantee it won't happen, so maybe another poster will be kind enough to give you some more input. Either that, or as I mentioned before, you could call Asus Technical Support. Sorry I can't be of more help in answering all your questions.

The only thing you'll lose by resetting or updating the BIOS is any settings you have changed yourself such as boot order or CPU/RAM speeds etc. Nothing happens to any data on your hard drive(s).
Not sure how much help Asus support would be when you tell them you're having problems with a Windows boot loader!!!...

Well, considering that lots of computers with Asus motherboards are running Windows 7, if the bootloader is somehow changing the settings in Bios, then I would think Asus would be aware of it and might have an answer.
