Primary display
Hi Raymond,
i need some advice on how to do it.
I have my new laptop K53sv, which is i core 5, after i installed all driver, i noticed that, the primary display was using the built in video (HD Grapahic Family) instead it there is GEFORCE GT540M 1GB installed.
How do i set into primary display the GEFORCE GT540M..?
Thanks in advance.

You're using the same idea that my laptop has - NVIDIA Optimus.
Here's the kicker. You can force it to use the NVIDIA by forcing every application to go though the NVIDIA control panel. However, there's two downsides. One, it will drain your battery like no tomorrow. The other problem lies with the fact that if you do that, you're not using it correctly, since it's to autosense when you need it.
So what's can we do when using NVIDIA Optimus technology?
Keep in mind, Optimus kicks in when you need it unless you're on battery power. So the other solution you've got is to plug in all the time that you want to use it. Or hit a certain button and disable power saving.
This will also kill your battery. But at least this way, it's restored by plugging it back in and charging it... at the expense of a long battery life.
Optimus is a great idea in theory, and great when you're plugged in and charging. But if you want to use it on the go, you're really not going to like the consequences.
