    Hi, all members!

My notebook has got a 20GB HDD, and I use it for internet activties and entertainment.
I like listening to POP music, and so I brought a 20GB USB HDD a few months ago for the storage of MP3 music tracks.
Now I have collected more than a hundred MP3s.

Something that concerns me is that, whenever I plug the USB HDD to my notebook,
the AutoScan process will automatically scan my HDD.
I can't afford to lose the MP3s, because I don't know what would happen if I pressed the Cancel button.

Could you tell me if I can simply press the Cancel button so that I can access the MP3 songs immediately after the USB HDD is plugged?

kwfine, the auto scan is normal whenever you plug in your usb hard drive. Pressing cancel button wouldn't hurt your drive. I do that all the time ;)
