    If your motherboard is old, it can't support newer RAMs and CPU. If your graphics card is using PCI-Express slot and your motherboard don't have that, you can't use it either.

    Micro ATX, ATX are size of a computer casing.
    MicroATX = 9.6 inches W (243.8 mm) & 9.6 inches L (243.8 mm)
    ATX = 12 inches W (304.8 mm) & 9.6 inches L (243.8 mm)

    my old motherboard is M266 type but it was okay, i used to use the AGP slot for my old video card. It had DDR slot and inter Pentium 4 CPU.

    The problem I'm having right now is how good computer system can i get with the money i have right now; i need a good video card so my system can reach up with the rest of the world.

    The computer i want right now is just for playing games, movies and software.

    i would recommend getting a new motherboard and i would say go for one that supports amd processor such as
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3322767&body=MAIN#detailspecs
    comes with dual core athlon and has agp slot wich you could pop this in there
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3101641&CatId=933
    and add 2GB of this in there
