hello.
When buying a new computer, i need to do some research and compare to see which one is better than the others but i come across that some computers are in 32bit and 64bit and i don't know what to do and also i'm not really sure whats the differences between them. If someone knows can him/her tell me more about it. :)

well from what i know 32 vs 64 there like highways 32 being a 2 lane and 64 being a big 4 lane
more traffic you can fit the faster it will go but you have to use programs and OS that supports 64 99% of programs were made for 32 bit and a few of them will take advantage of the 62 bit which will speed stuff up alot especially games and video/photo editing stuff and auto cad but all the stuff will work on the 64bit
i dont really know exatcly what makes em tick but i do know that if i had to pick id go for a 64bit AMD as i play alot of games
maybe ray can drop by and explain exactly what it is

Great explanation Lenogris.
It's better to buy a 64bit computer because you can still install a 32bit Windows on it.

Yea. I had installed Windows XP Pro 64-bit for my dual core X2 AMD Athlon and my games ran significantly faster. Framerates were much higher. But most of my other software ran at the same speed as 32-bit Windows XP Pro.
