I just bought a new sata dvd and I can't find it in the boot device priority list and so I can't boot from the dvd

Are you able to see your DVD drive in Windows?

You might need to update your BIOS. You have any idea what motherboard are you using? If not, you can use CPU-Z to identify the vendor, model and revision.

CPU-Z doesn't seem to be able to identify the version number of your BIOS correctly.
Can you boot up your system to check?

Your BIOS is really old which dated 2005/04/01.
Go to this page: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Select Motherboard > Socket478 > P4S8X-MX
You will also need a BIOS updated.

I updated the bios from ms-dos and still no dvd in the priority list
