Guys, if you can assist, I would really appreciate it. I have just finished assembling a new PC. The m/b is a Gigabyte EP45-DS4P and the graphics card is a Gigiabyte GV-NX96T1GHP. After loading Windows XP...completely genuine...the m/b drivers load OK. When I insert the VGA DVD, it starts to load the driver then suddenly stops, advising there is a problem and installation cannot continue.
If I then check the card in Device Manager, I am told there is no driver installed. When I attempt to manually instal the driver, it does so, but on reboot, Windows hangs during loading.. I then have to uninstall the device in safe mode. At one stage I recall seeing a box advising "looking for nv4_mini.sys". The Nvidia Control Panel View Selection icon has appeared in Control Panel, but it will not open. I assume there is nothing there!
Can one of you most intelligent guys help me out on this?

The problem of the missing nv4_mini.sys is caused by the incomplete driver installation. Try downloading the graphic card drivers from the web at nvidia.com. Perhaps you're installing the incorrect version of the drivers. Btw, It might be that your drivers are for another version of windows

Thanks for that. I did download the latest drivers from the website but I had exactly the same result as those off the DVD. I had thought of the Windows version but the DVD clearly states drivers for ME/XP/Vista. When I tried to manually load the drivers, they came from a folder clearly labelled XP! Any more thoughts? Would love to hear them!!
