    Hi,
My computer running Vista Home Basic SP 1 computer crashes after about half hour(it varies) of use showing the error message "Driver IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" in the blue screen. It had happened for some time and I used the verifier tool mentioned in the forum.
Then Windows crashed immediately after startup and gave the error message wdf01000.sys driver is corrupted. The computer crashed everytime I started it with the same message,so I used verifier/reset from run in Safe Mode as mentioned in the forum. It did not work,so I deleted the current settings in verifier and restarted.
The problem did not occur for some time but windows crashed afterwards. The problem reporting utility asked to send error report on restarting and it said that it did not find the specific cause of the problem but it is sure that the problem is caused by antivirus software.

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name:Blue Screen
    OS Version:6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.2
    Locale ID:16393

    BCCode:d1
    BCP1:00000000
    BCP2:00000002
    BCP3:00000008
    Product:768_1

I have been using KIS 8.0.0.454 trial version for 27 days which is up to date.I don't have multiple antivirus programs running.I used sfc/scannow as administrator from command prompt and it detected some errors which could not not be fixed automatically.
The problem reporting utility does appear every time after crashes or even if it does checking for solution does not return any result every time.I have the heuristic analysis set to high scan in KIS.Could this be causing the problem? The processor is Pentium Dual Core T2310-1.46 GHz.The RAM is 1 GB.
The SP 1 update did not appear in windiows update and I installed it using the standalone installer as advised by microsoft support.I am not sure when I installed it but I had installed KIS 2009 before that.
I did not get any error messages during either installations.Should I uninstall KIS 2009 to solve the problem?
    Thanks!

You must uninstall KIS and see if it solves the problem.
And see if it occurs in Safe Mode. And in most of the cases, drivers will be the culprit.
BTW, do visit this for some more info on how to find the cause of BSOD

    Hi,
When I try to update drivers from Device Manager, windows reports that the drivers are up to date.I used Driver Genius and it reported that 24 drivers are out of date.I don't want to purchase Driver Genius, but I had allowed Windows to search for recommended updates in Windows Update. The computer is connected to the internet through the university proxy server. Therefore Windows might not be able to check for updates properly.Should I uninstall KIS from Start menu or using Kaspersky Removal tool provided by Kaspersky Labs?I am not sure whether this problem might be related to .NET Framework ;its related service is shown as stopped.
    Thanks!

First uninstall KIS and check if you OS crashes. Do not forget to save the settings (the installed key) when uninstalling. If uninstalling that, solves the problem, then switch to other descent antivirus like Avira or Rising. If uninstalling KIS doesnt solve the problem, then re-install it as you have saved the key. Then re-install .NET framework.
