    When formatting, format as either NTFS or FAT32. I'm guessing the file size has something to do with your current file system i.e., File Allocation Table, FAT.

    imation usb pendrive have a security lock that if you enable it you will only see what you want the others to see.

    here's what i have
    Imation Atom Flash Drive - For Pids 0531 to 0535
    OS: Win 98SE, Me, 2000, XP & Vista Version: 2.21 Security Application & Windows 98SE driver Please extract the content to a folder on your hard disk. The content consists of the security application, manual and Win98 Driver:
    1. Imation LOCK.exe for Public/Secure Partitioning & Logon/Logout from Secure Partition.
    2. Imation LOCK Manual for more details on how to use the Imation LOCK software.

    my Imation 2gb thumb drive has only 1 mos. life - so I switched to Kingston 8gb

    the problem : the physical drive itself
    "Stars and the Sun"

    kingston is very known to its durability thats why i always use kingston, but i have 8gb atom imation. did`nt know that it has a lifespan?

    about lifespan - it's not by a mos. by industry standard usb thumb drives must have at more than 2 years lifespan ( generic ).

    but Imation shocked me that it's expensive thumb drive price ( in peso currency ) is not that good ...despite the care I made and its warranty melts me down.

    Kingston and other advanced thumbdrives brand specifically those U3 are now have lifetime warranties but bit pricey too.
