Computer cannot detect my external harddisk
Hello all,
I have a problem with my external harddisk. It is a 320GB SATA Seagate Harddisk. I have used it for a year or less, but now it can't be read anymore. The harddisk is on but it has no effect when i plugged it into my computer.
Is there any way to read the harddisk? Or any way to recover the data from the damaged harddisk? Since I can't access the harddisk, I have no idea how to save the files to another place.
Thank you in advance.

Check your PM, bolalampu. Maybe that might help.

You might also ask someone to open your external hdd and test it. If it would work then a case replacement is the thing you need. If not, either your hdd or both the hdd and the case are goners

My friend has tested it with the case removed and it's still not working. The last thing before I sent it to the Seagate support for replacement is to recover the data.
