    "unknown hard error"

    Hello all,

I have a message "unknown hard error" and the computer becomes slower and not responding. After that, the computer restarts itself.

Anyone has encountered this kind of problem before?

    Regards.

    Never B4,

Check If you have Viruses or stuff, and If you dont have an antivirus, Install a good one, like Norton or Kaspersky.

I'm not sure because I haven't run my computer in safe mode. I installed norton and have run a full scan and no virus is detected. I think I will instal a clean windows if it happens again.

Remember that it's always better to scan in safe mode than in normal mode. Than, if you can, execute EVENTVWR (dunno how it's called in english, so i'll use the name of the command), and search for that error, it should tell you wich program caused it

Thanks for all responses. I really appreciate it. Anyway, I've reformat and reinstall the windows XP because my previous windows has the acer in-built software. So, I decided to remove them all hoping that the start-up will get faster.

    Thank you all.
