    Cool hardware question?

Hoping for some guidance here...I have a spare 19" pc monitor (emachines) that I was hoping to connect to my SD Directv receiver in my bedroom to use as the tv. The monitor has both DVI and VGA connections and my SD receiver has S-video, rca and another unknown plug that looks a little like USB or LAN . Does anyone know if I can connect these two? Is there a DVI to s-video or rca adapter? Thanks!

You can use an adaptor.. Just search it in Google Shopping (DVI to [blah])

If it's relativly new, your unknown port might be a HDMI port
