    Thumbs up Pale Moon 4.0

Why settle for a basic build of your Firefox browser on Windows Operating Systems when you can have one that is specifically made for getting the most out of your system? Mozilla does not provide optimized browser packages for Windows, meaning you may be losing speed and efficiency when you use your browser; and truth be told, most people use their browsers all the time! That needs to change, so, here is the Pale Moon project: Custom-built and optimized Firefox browsers for Windows Operating Systems. Make sure to get the most speed and efficiency out of your browser!

With the new version 4, there are also a few other differences that are more obvious and not just "under the hood": contrary to what Mozilla has done with their redesign of the user interface, Pale Moon will continue to provide a familiar set of controls and visual feedback similar to previous versions, including grouped navigation buttons of a decent size, a bookmarks toolbar that is enabled by default, and not in the least a functional status bar.
    Main features:
    Highly optimized for current processors
100% Firefox sourced: As safe as the browser that has seen years of development.
Uses slightly less memory because of disabled redundant and optional code
Significant speed increases for page drawing and script processing
Support for SVG and Canvas, downloadable fonts, WOFF and some HTML5
Support for Firefox extensions (add-ons), themes and personas
Support for OOPP (Out-of-process plugin execution)
Able to use existing Firefox profiles, bookmarks and settings with this migration tool
    Change log:
This is a brand new release!

Built on Gecko 2.0, the browser has the following new features:
Hardware acceleration of browser windows using Direct3D
Direct2D rendering on operating systems and hardware that support it
DirectWrite font rendering on systems that support it
WebGL 3D graphics, either using native OpenGL (default) or DirectX (via ANGLE)
    HTML5 support
    New Jaegermonkey javascript engine
    Blazingly fast DOM handling

Of course, the well known features from version 3.x are still present, as well:
Graphical tab previews (on a nice glass pane if you have Windows 7) with search
    Dynamic/downloadable fonts (including WOFF)
Support for personas and Firefox themes
Support for Firefox 4 compatible add-ons
    Support for OOPP (Out-of-process plug-ins)
Able to use existing Firefox profiles, bookmarks and settings (either using the migration tool or using Sync)
    System Requirements:
    Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7, 32-bit or 64-bit
A modern processor with SSE2 support like a Pentium IV or Athlon 64 or later (see list of supported processors) Standard Pale Moon will NOT run on Athlon XP processors! Please GO HERE if you are running on an older processor machine.
64 MB of RAM (128 MB or more recommended)
At least 50 MB of free (uncompressed) disk space

Thanks for the heads up Boy .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

A bit off topic, but this reminds me of a song by CCR called "Pale Moon Rising".
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Did you happen to notice that I got the name of the song wrong? It should be "Bad Moon Rising". I seem to have had a couple of "senior moments" earlier today in my posts!
