Interesting... don't think I'll give up AxCrypt though, the solution I found. Though it's more for files, then folders.

For important folder have used truecrypt but it is good to have options. ( and truecrypt does it in a round about manner).

Truecrypt here . But always an alternative is good to have . Cheers .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Fiddler, don't tell me you're one of those people that refuses to install it because it's too big... (.NET Framework) if that's what you're not complaining about, don't worry about the next part.

Every time I hear that excuse, that .NET takes up too much space, the desire to actually have a stern-talking-to-that-person about the size of hard drives, and how cheap they are... just so they can see how poor of an excuse that is. And I say that as a person who used to write code in .NET.

Other issues, that's fine. But that one complaint has come and gone a while back, especially when they started rolling out with 500 gig hard drives and bigger.

replacing hard drives for desktops is a piece of cake (generally ) and GB per dollar ratio is great. i think one can buy a 2 TB for about $100. honestly do not know that much about .NET framework's problems but it does make coding easier on Windows computers.

Very much so, on both parts. That's why I find the excuse very poor.

Regardless, this is offtopic. I've not tried the application, but I have no reason to, seeing as I'm using AxCrypt, like I said.

All I've ever used is TrueCrypt myself and I really like it, but I think I'll check out AxCrypt now that hellnoire has brought it it up.

It's only for Windows, and does only individual files, but it's very good for that imo.
