System Mechanic Free 1.0.0.8
Iolo has released a stripped down free version of their commercial product System Mechanic for home use. There is a downloader which gets the installer from the internet. During installation we need to give our e-mail id to receive the free key. Personally I have disabled send reports to our e-mail id, optimize internet connection and submit anonymous reports to iolo in the program. In my system it detected 1002 registry errors in comprehensive registry clean. Be careful to first take a backup of your registry or create a system restore point before using it. After deleting those registry errors my system is still functioning. Happy system cleaning folks
At present AFAIK the download link is available only in majorgeeks.
Description given in majorgeeks:

Using the same award-winning technology and user-friendly design that makes the full version of System Mechanic the expert’s choice and the #1-bestselling software in its class, System Mechanic Free empowers people of all skill levels to keep their computer running at peak performance.

I'd rather be fishing!
I have used earlier versions of System Mechanic, and while I didn't have any problems I decided to uninstall it, because I have gotten away from programs that like to run in the back ground and slow up performance.

This free version also adds a start up entry which I have disabled using ccleaner. It also starts a service on system boot. I have to set it from automatic to manual under services. I have uninstalled it anyway as it is not compatible with some of the options of EMET.

Thanks for the information sm1 but no thanks!
I cant forget how badly System Mechanic pouled my Windows and whole computer back in the Windows 98/ME days. There was nothing to do except new, clean install! System Mechanic is one of the programs which is included at my "dont touch" list
