    Startup Delayer 3.0.318

This is the software publisher’s description.

Can you learn another language in the time it takes for your machine to boot? Do you turn on your PC when you go to bed, so it's finished booting by the time you get home from work the next day?

When Windows boots, it attempts to load every application within your Startup file at the same time. Therefore if you have quite a lot of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load.

If each program tries to do this at the same time, you soon notice the slow down that occurs, due to your CPU trying to help all the programs to load, and your hard disk accessing multiple files.

Startup Delayer allows you to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program. For example, if you have your mail program and a clock that needs to synchronise with the Internet, you could make your mail start say 10 seconds after Windows has loaded, and then the clock start 20 seconds after Windows Starts.
Build 318 contains fixes for crashes as well as improvements to the detection of paths and launching of applications that have previously ignored the Minimized checkbox.

    Compatible with: XP / Vista / 2003 / 7 - 32bit and 64bit

Thanks A Guy. I will try this on my XP box and see if it makes a difference.

Its the same company that develops Xion Player, but seems to have stalled its development. Tried this product before and it was good if you don't want other features, because otherwise there are products like WinPatrol, AnVir Task Manager or Kingsoft PC Doctor which does the same.

Used this on my Dell XP PC. But on my Windows 7 machine, restarts in 40 seconds, so no delaying needed

Now, if the price per gigabyte on SSD's would come down like the price of RAM has these days, it would be even better.

I hope they have some special black Friday price reductions on SSDs today.
