    what is best for a laptop

    Okay, so you all said that ubuntu was not the best on a laptop, so then what is?

    Ubuntu is great for laptop, but no OS work best, depending in your situation. The problem in some laptop that is wireless problem.

    Indeed. Ubuntu's hit and miss with wireless. If you can live without that, it's perfect.

    But if you want everything working, no problems, Windows. Go with the flow.

    Or you can online without wireless but wired. I hate wired!!

    another question:

    so it means the ubuntu OS is not capable of wireless technology?

    Not at all. I recently got my wireless going under Linux on the laptop. It's pretty much it works, or it doesn't. There's no 'weak signal' under Linux. So it's a clear yes or a clear no. Google your wireless card/laptop model to find out if it works or not.
