Classic Auto Buff
When I installed Ubuntu 9.10, I chose to install it on a 2nd HDD, but at the same time, grub boot loader was installed on my primary "boot" HDD, so every time I restart my PC, I have the choice of loading either Windows, or Ubuntu.

do you have enought ram? if you do you can try virtualbox or the new vmware player.

Wind, I hope means Windows, and not MSI Wind... you won't have enough memory if that's the case. But yes, you could dual boot no problems. Under the install, it should ask you by default how you'd like to partition it, and the default should detect your Windows install, giving you a slider to decide how much hard drive space you get with both. Just click though the installer until you get to that point, to check and see. If it works, then go back, modify it to suit your needs, then proceed to install.
