Well, it certainly changed alright... the net install didn't work, didn't boot up, no GRUB and missing other key files too. So... I can't give a true comment.
And now that my desktop has fried itself, I'm forced to install Linux on my laptop or go without... that's how bad things are going right now.

Lubuntu feels lacking right now, but that's a possibility too.
