Question-applications you should uninstall after installing ubuntu
Hi.
We all know how famous ubuntu distro is.for that reason, among others, nwecommers are recommended to use ubuntu even if there might be something better for windows newcommers( like um,... Mint?)
but I have also heard that it comes bundled with software which might not be needed or there may be better alternatives. So I have a question. Before I try ubuntu, I request someone to please make a list of non essential software and software with better alternatives. A description would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone help me?preferrably before the new ubuntu comes.

For the most part, Ubuntu's a complete package, it just depends what you want in an OS. You should install the restricted extras... and that's about it.
pacman -Syyu life not found in sync db

Classic Auto Buff
After installing Ubuntu 9.10, I went to "Ubuntu Software Center" and then checked out all the "installed software" that came with the OS. The programs I didn't want, were easily un-installed through Software Center, or Synaptic Package Manager under Administration. Like hellnoire mentioned, Ubuntu Restricted Extras was a must, when I wanted to listen to MP3's on the music player.
